What is Branded Caller ID?
Branded Caller ID allows you to display the Business name, Company logo, and a Reason for Call on supported handsets and mobile networks.
Why is Branded Caller ID important?
In today's carrier ecosystem, where most calls are (mis)labeled as SPAM or SCAM, ensuring your call is delivered to the intended target is more important than ever. Calls placed through this service generally bypass the typical spam/scam filtering that occurs in multiple places within the nation's complex web of telecom networks.
How does it work?
After a brief registration process with each participating carrier is completed and approved, the Ytel system begin transmitting the Branded Caller ID on registered numbers. A compatible handset will display the Branded Caller ID information instantly.
What information is needed for registration?
Standard information about the company, which includes (but is not limited to) legal business address, federal taxpayer ID/EIN, email, and point-of-contact. You will also provide basic information regarding the nature of the calls.
Information which is not required, but will greatly speed up the approval process: Dun & Bradstreet Number (DUNS)
Do I have to register all of my phone numbers?
We recommend this service be used for calls that are of high value and importance. For example, a consumer completes an online form requesting more information about your specific widget. That consumer would be more likely to answer a branded call from the company they just interacted with as opposed to a phone call from an unknown number (and likely marked as spam or scam). Another example where Branded Caller ID would be of importance would be from your company's customer service/support department.
