Introduction:
Phone Number Reputation Management is vital for businesses as it ensures that communications reach recipients without being filtered as spam, thereby safeguarding the brand image and credibility. By maintaining a positive reputation for phone numbers, businesses can maximize reach, and enhance the overall customer experience. Ultimately, actively managing phone number reputation helps businesses build trust with audiences and optimizes communication efforts for greater effectiveness.
How it works:
Businesses first register through Ytel's exclusive portal by confirming many details about the business including confirmations of TCPA/State/Federal regulations adherence, and providing a link to the business's secretary of state listing.
This information is submitted to the carriers who review the request, resulting in Approval, Denial, or More Information Requested. This process can take up to two weeks. Once the business is Approved phone numbers can be enrolled in the service through the portal or provided in a ticket. Once the numbers are enrolled the service will begin within 24 hours and will reflect in the portal as such.
Step 1: Application and Submission
In app.ytel.com navigate to Settings > Business Profiles > Remediation Enrollment > +Enroll Now
*Don't forget to answer the Compliance Questions and Certify at the bottom of the form.
Step 2: Pending Approval
A ticket will be automatically created once the form has been filled out for tracking. Carrier review can take 3 days - 2 weeks. Once the business is approved, a notification will be sent via the tracking ticket. CONGRATULATIONS! Note: Carrier responses may include: Approval, Denial, or More Information Requested
Step 3: Number Enrollment
Once Approved navigate to Settings > Business Profiles > Remediation Enrollment > Add Numbers
Assuming Numbers have already been purchased in the Numbers > Purchase section or Imported from a 3rd party carrier, you can then select the numbers intended for Enrollment in the dropdown.
This will automatically assign the enrolled numbers to your Number Reputation service.
NOTE: If you have not yet purchased phone numbers from Ytel you must do that first in the Numbers > Purchase section. If the numbers belong to a 3rd party carrier (Not a Ytel Number) then the numbers must be provided in the tracking ticket so Ytel can import them manually to the service.
Step 4: Number Reputation & Remediation Stats
To view the enrolled phone numbers and their daily status navigate to Numbers > Manage > Remediation Report column. This will show you the results for individual phone numbers.
For a wholistic view of all numbers enrolled navigate to Reports > Remediation

Navigate to the Table tab to see a date breakdown by Number

*Note: as can happen in the normal course of business if a number is flagged by a carrier the affected number will be remediated within 24 - 36 hours. More details about carrier flagging here.
