This article will cover the step-by-step process for submitting your Brand and Campaign for A2P 10DLC Registration within the Ytel Portal Interface so you can begin sending SMS.
First, you will need to have an Ytel account. You can create one here.
Next, login @ app.ytel.com and follow these steps:
Step 1. Ensure the account is funded
Step 2. Navigate to Numbers > Numbersets
Step 3. Create a numberset for the campaign
Step 4. Navigate to Numbers > Purchase
Step 5. Search for and purchase a Voice Only number and select your newly created numberset during the purchase.
Step 6. Navigate to Settings Business Profiles
Step 7. Click "Create Brand Registry". You will typically only need to complete this step once.
Step 8. Complete all required fields and submit the form.
-
Please note the Authorized Representative field - Support Email and Support Phone Number will be used for the HELP keyword response to direct end-users to your company's support team for assistance. This must not be a voicemail box and must allow the end-user to connect to a live human.
Step 9. You will now notice you have a "BrandID" in your 'Business Profiles' page. It will initially be in a 'PENDING' status until the verification process has been completed.
Step 10. Once your Brands status is VETTED_VERIFIED you are good to start the next step.
-
If you receive an "UNVERIFIED" status, this means one or more pieces of information is unable to be verified. Eg. Legal Company Name or TaxID/EIN. You will need to submit a new Brand Registry application.
Step 11. Click the "Campaign Registry" tab
Step 12. Click the "Create Campaign Registry" Button
Step 13. Complete all required fields and submit the form.
-
Important: Be sure to select all appropriate campaign attributes.
Step 14. Add "support@ytel.com" to your approved email list / e-mail spam filter. We will contact you through our ticketing system (to the primary email address on file) and will guide you through the process of enabling and registering your phone numbers for the specific Brand and Campaign(s).
Once you have been notified that your campaign has been approved you will be able to register and SMS enable numbers in your account. ( EXCLUDING MMS )

What fees are charged for 10DLC?
- Brand registration: $50 per attempt / submission
- Campaign registration: $50 per attempt / submission
- Approved Campaign: $50 each per month
- Number Pooling Fee:$2,000 per submission
These fees are all inclusive of pass through carrier fees, applicable regulatory fees, compliance review costs, and program administrative costs. Number Pooling Fee is required by T-Mobile on campaigns that have - or may have - more than 49 numbers. The Number Pooling Fee is charged at the time of Campaign Registration submission.
My company provides services to multiple other companies (brands) through my proprietary software/system. Is there anything special I need to do?
Yes. This means you qualify as an Independent Software Vendor (ISV). First, register your own Brand as the parent account. Next, each of your customer accounts will need to be configured as sub accounts, and each have a Brand and Campaign(s) registered. Any applicable fees for the sub-accounts are charged to your account.
What if I am only doing development and testing and not sending a high number of messages - do I still need to register?
Yes. Because the message is originating from Ytel’s system, it is considered A2P traffic and subject to 10DLC requirements.
